    Sat Nov 24th 2012 - 0800 hrs - Rock Chapel!
    ============================== =======
    It wasn't too long ago that we did this walk but we decided it was time to start doing a little Christmas shopping and get into the 'season of things'...and where else but at the Dutch Mill afterwards. We will be meeting at the RBG Rock Chapel parking lot - see the attached map. From Cootes, head up Olympia - after going under the train overpass, turn left on Valley Rd , past Patterson , then turn left on Rock Chapel at the top. Keep an eye out for the address road number "318" (on your left). Most importantly, bring some OLD toonies and loonies - you need to put in $3 worth of coins and it can't be the 'new' toonies - as Linda found out, the machine doesn't recognize them. Bring your walking pole, we have a good hill to descend on the way out...and climb on the way back. The walk should take us the usual 2 1/2hours... leave just as much time for breakfast and shopping. The first part of the Bruce Trail (including the hill) might be a bit difficult for those who are visually impaired. The remainder of the RBG grounds are well groomed - it's just that escarpment hill that one would need some 'one on one' guidance (I think you did this one before John).

    The weather so far this month has been Saturday we could be in for some cooler,'normal' temperatures - we are fairly protected by the forest for the better part of the walk- when on the RBG grounds, we're a little more out in the open so be prepared to zip up the coat. Bring another top to change into for breakfast - even though the Dutch Mill is warm, I tend to get a chill from the sweaty clothes will sitting. Looking forward to seeing you...and a little Christmas Cheer...on Saturday.
